Is Fruitifree-z really healthier than ice-cream?

Yes! Fruitifree-z can be a healthier option than ice-cream for a number of reasons.

Here are just a few:

  • Fruitifree-z ice creams are made using only fruit. (There is no added sugar, cream or other dairy added to this delicious treat).
  • Fruitifree-z desserts don’t contain any cholesterol. Ice cream can contain upwards of 80 mg cholesterol in a serving.
  • Fruitifree-z desserts contain fiber, vitamins and minerals in each tasty serving.

How many calories and grams of fat are there in a serving of Fruitifree-z?

A cup of Fruitifree-z ice cream will have 200 healthy calories as opposed to some brands of ice cream which can easily exceed 400 calories in a serving.

Fruitifree-z ice creams contain zero grams of fat. An equal serving of soft serve ice-cream has 23 grams of fat in a 1 cup serving.

What is the Fruitifree-z System?

Fruitifree-z turns simple frozen fruits into delicious and healthy ice creams and desserts without the extra sugar, fat, chemicals or calories of traditional frozen desserts! By using fresh fruits as your main ingredient, Fruitifree-z desserts taste just like your favorite ice cream and they are actually good for you.

Your Fruitifree-z ice cream maker has been designed for making ice cream from frozen fruits. The appliance is not suitable for making ice cream from fresh fruits.

How do I use Fruitifree-z?

How do I use Fruitifree-z?
Read the instruction manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference. Use the unit ONLY as directed. DO NOT use the appliance for other purposes than described in the manual.

  1. Remove the plunger from the chute and place a container for your treat on the tray and underneath the nozzle.
  2. Turn the unit on.
  3. Slowly insert frozen fruit into the chute without overfilling.
NOTE: Cut the frozen fruits into pieces that fit into the chute.
  4. Use the plunger to firmly push the fruit through the chute. Applying too much pressure can damage the unit, so apply just enough firm pressure to feed the fruit through the auger.
NOTE: Do not insert your hands into the feeding tube to press frozen fruits. Always use the plunger.
  5. Repeat until you’ve created the desired amount of frozen treats.

How do I assemble and disassemble the Fruitifree-z?

Before assembly or disassembly, switch off the appliance, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.

  1. Insert the auger into the bottom of the chute, narrow tip first.
  2. Place the nozzle onto the chute over the auger. Turn counterclockwise to securely lock chute assembly together.
  3. Insert the chute assembly into the chute assembly cradle on the base, fitting the teeth of the chute assembly into the slots inside the cradle. Twist counterclockwise to secure chute assembly to base.
  4. Slide the chute assembly cover over the chute, insert plunger into chute, and insert tray in the slot underneath the nozzle at the bottom of the base.

Does the Fruitifree-z actually freeze ingredients or do you add in pre-frozen?

The Fruitifree-z does not freeze the fruit or soft serve for you – all fruit ingredients added into the chute must be PRE-FROZEN and will result in a creamy smooth texture similar to soft-serve ice cream or sorbet.

What type of fruits can you use in the Fruitifree-z?

In order to get a creamy texture use fruits like bananas, mangoes, peaches or apricots. If you introduce water-based fruits like apples or strawberries alone you will get a sorbet or slushie texture. To achieve the best results, alternate between the ingredients.

Do not introduce fibrous fruits like pineapple, orange or lemon because fibers could be stuck inside Fruitifree-z and prevent the exit of ice cream.

Why I need to thaw the fruits before introducing them into the Fruitifree-z?

You need to allow fruits to thaw slightly to achieve the best consistency in order to be processed by the Fruityfree-z. Otherwise if the fruit  is very  hard it may cause damage to the machine.

How long should I thaw the fruits?

Thaw time depends on type and size of fruit. Berries should thaw for around 5 minutes, while larger fruit such as peaches may need to thaw 15-20 minutes. You can also use the microwave for a few seconds.

Do I have to remove the skin and seeds of the vegetables and fruits?

Do not place skins, tough cores, fruit pits, ice or honey into the Fruitifree-z.

Peel the fruit and remove tough cores and seeds before introducing it into Fruitifree-z. This could be done more easily before freezing the fruit.

Can I add nuts, chocolate chips, or other hard ingredients into the Fruitifree-z?

Yes! However large pieces of hard ingredients like nuts, hard candies, chocolate, and chunky granolas may clog the auger and cause damage to the machine. Any mix-in ingredients larger than a standard chocolate chip must be crushed or chopped into smaller pieces before adding to the Fruitifree-z chute.

How do I clean the Fruitifree-z?

The appliance must be cleaned after each use. DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

  1. Unplug the Fruitifree-z before cleaning and disassembling and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
  2. Remove chute assembly cover, disassemble the chute assembly and remove the tray.
  3. Wash all parts (excluding the base and power cord) by hand in warm water with a non-abrasive soap and a non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  4. Before and after each use, wipe the unit off with a damp (not dripping), non-abrasive cloth. When finished, dry thoroughly.

Fruitifree-z is dishwasher safe?
